Message from the Chairperson:
Lumbini Provincial Hospital has reached a significant milestone, celebrating its 114th year of service
since its establishment over a century ago. Butwal has emerged as the commercial and industrial hub of
the western region of Nepal, making remarkable progress in communication and education technology.
Given this context of advancement, the development of advanced and high-quality healthcare services has
become crucial. As a provincial hospital, we have been diligently serving the people of 12 districts in
Lumbini province and neighboring areas.
Over the years, this hospital has attracted many talented and capable doctors, leading to the expansion of
our infrastructure and services. On this special occasion, we acknowledge the contributions of the hospital
development committee and our predecessors. Moving forward, we will seek input from the hospital
development committee, philanthropic industrialists, and political representatives to ensure timely
expertise and advanced infrastructure.
I want to emphasize that the committee and management are actively addressing the following matters:
1. Ensuring simple and accessible healthcare for all, with special attention to underserved and
underprivileged populations.
2. Enhancing the effectiveness of the health insurance program and accommodating the increasing
number of patients through increased participation and improved accessibility to our services.
3. Expanding our range of specialized services, including ENT, eye care, dental care, and ICU. We
will focus on providing effective services in areas such as dialysis, safe maternal and childcare,
complex surgeries, and senior citizen care.
4. Conducting various health-related educational programs.
5. Prioritizing the completion of the main hospital building as part of the state government project
and the hospital's master plan.
To achieve our immediate and long-term goals, we seek support in providing quality medical care in
alignment with the government's health policy. We also require additional infrastructure, technology,
equipment, specialized professionals, and opportunities for knowledge and skill development for our
healthcare workers. Our primary focus is ensuring customer satisfaction, and we kindly request everyone's
support in our noble endeavor to serve the people, as "health is for all".
